Buy My Dress (Galway) 25/05/2014

I shared some photos on my facebook page of this event which was held last Sunday 25/05/2014 in the Clayton Hotel Galway and here is the accompanying blog!

It was a very busy but worthwhile day. I arrived at 10am but there were others there before me and some were there the day before too – it was a great team effort!
The dresses were kindly donated prior to and during the event. We were busy steaming, hanging and pricing items before display. There was a rail for ballgowns and similar and the rest of the items were displayed according to size.

Then everyone dispersed to look after the shoppers / dressing rooms etc... it was all go!!

Suzanne Kinneavy from Suzannes Image & Wardrobe Consultancy was there to give fashion and styling advice. Patrycja from PR Make-up was on hand to make-up the busy shoppers if they wished before / after their shopping - it was a lovely treat!

Fiona from Fusion Fashion showcased some lovely Stella and Dot pieces and Milliners Caithriona King and Michael Mullins also showcased their fabulous work. I had fun 
speaking to them about how they get their creative ideas and how they make a piece from start to finish.

There were also handmade bags and jewels on display by Lisa in Buttons and Beads.

Hair Flair, Mervue, Michelle from Natural Beauty, Mervue, Lisa from Laserderm, Majella from Crevation Designs and Simply Chic Hat Hire were also in attendance on the day so there was a great mix of things going on and a great time was had by all.

It is a very worthy cause and I was glad to be part of it. I also picked up a few items myself – as the money was going to charity it was guilt free shopping! See photos of same below - I am looking forward to styling these up!!

Over €9,500 was raised which is fantastic. Well done to the organisers and all involved!
